WHY IS ELECTION DAY NOT A FEDERAL HOLIDAY?

By Allen Van Hoosier

With the barrage of Federal Holidays we have in the US - especially the good ones that get us out of going to work, why is election day NOT one of these days? Most of the banana republics near the equator that hold free elections - these days are "days off servitude" days. But not here. The power elite do not want it to happen. They keep their power this way. The proletariat are the circulatory system of this country. The more of them vote, the Burgoise lose control.
If I was granted a day off work to vote - I would do it. You can even shoot at me. I know how to "cammo up" and would get a rush out of thr struggle.

Plus - I look damn good in cammo.

WRITE YOU CONGRESSMAN NOW TO DEMAND THAT ELECTION DAY - BOTH FOR FEDRAL AND LOCAL ELECTIONS IS A PAID DAY OFF!

  1. Proletariat? Burgoise? Ok Karl while I would never argue against another federal day off from servitude. I believe that the less I have to work the better. Working on election day has never prevented me from voting. Tragically, it is apathy and ignorance that keeps people from the polls. And that is what we must fight. Your blog is one of things we can do as responsible citizens to do that. So good job Karl. I promise I won't shoot you.
