Is God A Republican?

My day at work began with what I call a "wrist slasher." I try not loot at life through the eyes of a cynic, but this morning it was difficult. And for all true critical thinking intellectuals pride themselves - we must remain to a certain degree, remain cynics.

I overheard a comment from a co-worker was going to church on Monday night before the election to participate in a prayer meeting where the main event was to have a no-holds barred pray to God the Obama does NOT become the President.

I was not sure if should get angry or laugh. The church in question was Baptist, and having grown up Baptist myself, for the first time in my life, I was ashamed.

A friend of mine, who I will deem first a Christian, secondly a modern-day philosopher, and third as a Southern Baptist, has a very unique opinion to the accusation that Obama is an agent of evil, the anti-christ, or worse yet, a door-to-door Jehova's Witness. Read his blog here:

God could care less about you having a prayer meeting to "protect yourself from Barack Obama."

This is the sort of bunk and superstition that Satan loves. He eats it up. That's right evangelicals - keep it up. Have prayer meetings convincing yourelves of the nature of evil. Satan I am sure is saying to himself, "Wow. I never knew that the great descent of man would be so simple."

Any manager, white collar man, CEO or Satan loves it when he can get someone to do his work. And when he gets an entire church family to do it for him, Hell (no pun intended) it's just a day off for him.

The Christian Right - and their involvement in politics is one of the most pathetic pornographic displays of sheer hate, stupidity and retardation. I will post more to this blog entry, but for record: Jesus Christ couldn't care less about your church and all the "Born again" and "I've been saved" bull shit. He wants to know the following:

I was hungry - did you feed me?

I was naked - did you clothe me?

I was lost - Did you show them my love for them?
